Usage and billing
Read the Billing card and your monthly billing statements, and what the estimate does and doesn't measure today.
The Billing card on your organization's page shows what your organization has used over the last 30 days, in compute units (CU), and a dollar figure worked out from them.
The figures on the Billing card are an estimate, not a final bill. Pricing isn't final, and until it is, the card is for information. The card labels its dollar figure Final bill, but treat it as an estimate.
Who can see it
Only Owners, Admins and Billing admins of the organization can see the Billing card and billing statements. Everyone else sees a short note in place of the card. Everyone in the organization can see the Quota card.
What it shows
| Item | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Final bill | The estimated amount for the last 30 days |
| Adjusted CU | Your usage in compute units, after your tier's multiplier |
| Tier | The billing tier and its multiplier |
| CU breakdown | Usage split into Compute, Storage, Network and AI |
What is measured today
| Part of the breakdown | Today |
|---|---|
| Compute | Measured. Functions, Jobs and Schedules count by run time. Services count by the CPU and memory allocated to them, for the time they are deployed |
| Storage | Not measured yet. Shows 0 |
| Network | Not measured yet. Shows 0 |
| AI | Not available yet; shows 0. It is planned to be measured from LLM Gateway spend once the gateway, which is coming soon, is available |
So a low or zero number for Storage and Network doesn't mean you used nothing; those meters aren't connected yet.
Billing statements
Once Groundfloor issues a monthly statement for your organization, it appears on the Billing statements card on your organization's page, newest first. Click View statements to see them all, and click a statement to open it.
A statement shows the period, your plan, the Base fee, your Usage, any Included credit and the Total, then each workspace's usage line by line: the resource, what was measured, the billable amount, the unit price and the amount. Download CSV saves the lines with a summary.
- Estimated usage: a statement can contain estimated usage; those lines are marked as estimated.
- Void: a statement that Groundfloor voided stays in the list, marked void, and no longer applies.
- No statements yet: statements appear only once they've been issued for a completed month.
From code
GET https://platform.groundfloor.cloud/v1/accounts/{organization_id}/billing/summary returns the same summary; here the organization's ID goes where the path says accounts. The since_seconds parameter sets the window; the default is 30 days and the most is 400 days. Statements are under GET https://platform.groundfloor.cloud/v1/accounts/{organization_id}/billing-statements. See the Billing API.
